Chapter 329 – My Daughter is Likely a Green Tea (part 18)

The next morning, Luo Heng picked up some things, carried his schoolbag, and knocked on the door of Su family’s house.

The reason why he hastily proposed to do homework with Jingwan was, on one hand, as he was not satisfied with seeing Jingwan only once a day, his heart was almost full of longing. On the other hand, it was also because he wanted to observe the Su family closely, especially Jingwan’s adoptive mother and her younger brother.

Although Jingwan was very happy in this life, the investigation data also showed that her adoptive mother treated her very well. At least on the surface, it was true.

But, if he didn’t see it with his own eyes, Luo Heng would be worried.

“You’re here! Come in quickly!” Su Jingwan had already told Li Su that Luo Heng wanted to come to their house to study. Just as she thought, Li Su didn’t object, but asked her enthusiastically if she needed to prepare anything.

Luo Heng handed the things in his hands to Su Jingwan. “I brought this from home. I hope that you will like it.”

Su Jingwan hesitated. “There’s no need. Why did you bring things?”

“It’s still Chinese New Year, so consider it New Year’s greetings,” Luo Heng said with a smile. He then persistently stretched out his hand until Su Jingwan took what was in his hands.

“You’re here. Come in and sit down. What are you still doing standing at the door?” Li Su came out of the kitchen holding a plate of fruit in her hands.

“This is my mother. Mum, this is my classmate, Luo Heng,” Su Jingwan introduced.

Luo Heng looked at Li Su. She was different from the haggard old woman in his memory. Although the clothes she wore were ordinary, she had a quiet and elegant demeanor. The strange thing was that, from her appearance, she was really gentle and quiet. There were some similarities.

“Hello, auntie!” Luo Heng bent down.

“There’s no need for formalities. Sit down!” Li Su greeted. “Have you had breakfast?”

“I’ve eaten. Thank you, auntie.” Luo Heng put down his schoolbag, a little cautious.

Seeing this, Li Su said, “Jingwan, take your classmate to your room to sit. When the food is ready, I’ll call you again!”

“Mm, I got it.” Su Jingwan said with a smile. “Luo Heng, I copied down all the questions that I had some difficulties with. Can you help me?”

Luo Heng stood up. “No problem.” In fact, his attention was all on the words ‘Jingwan’s room’. He thought that even if he could come to Jingwan’s house to do homework, he would probably be in the living room under the eyes of the adults. He didn’t expect to study in Jingwan’s room.

Did this mean that he would be alone with Jingwan?

When Luo Heng saw the impatient boy in Jingwan’s room, he knew that he had been thinking too much.

“Luo Heng, let me introduce you. This is my younger brother, Su Jing’an. Jing’an, this is my classmate, Luo Heng. You can call him…” Su Jingwan introduced.

“Older brother Luo! Hehe, I’ve heard such a great name for a long time!” Su Jing’an squeezed between Su Jingwan and Luo Heng with a playful smile, separating the two. Don’t think he didn’t know that this kid named Luo Heng was obviously interested in his older sister. Otherwise, why would he buy cakes for his older sister and do what she likes, like sending paper materials?

But currently, his older sister was more interested in papers and materials than this Luo Heng.

“Hello! My name is Luo Heng!” Luo Heng smiled.

“Don’t you want to do homework? Let’s start!” Su Jing’an said with a smile. He knew what his mission was. He was to watch this Luo Heng and not let him find a chance to touch his older sister.

Su Jingwan took out her exercise book and looked back at Luo Heng. Luo Heng nodded, walked over, sat down next to Su Jingwan naturally, and looked at the questions. He forced himself to calm down and tried to ignore Jingwan’s breathing. He then began to explain things to Jingwan.

Su Jing’an, who was pretending to be doing homework next to her, couldn’t get in the way at all. He basically couldn’t understand what the two of them were saying.

After listening for a long time, Su Jing’an quietly went out under the pretext of going to the toilet.

When Aunt Zhao saw him coming out, she hurried over and asked, “Why did you come out? What’s going on inside now?”

“It’s nothing. They’re talking about Newton’s laws, subtropical climates, and so on. I don’t even understand them!” Su Jing’an rolled his eyes and said, “My brain is numb, so I came out to breathe.”

Aunt Zhao smiled, gratified. “I knew that Jingwan was a well-behaved child. But Jing’an, come out to rest for a while and then go back quickly! Good boy, don’t you like pizza? Grandma Zhao will ask your mother to order takeaway for you later.”

“I want Coke with ice!” Zhao Jing’an boldly added a condition.

Grandma Zhao hesitated for a moment. Drinking iced Coke in winter was really not good.

But Zhao Jing’an was very persistent. Carbonated drinks like Coke and Sprite needed to be served with ice to taste good.

“Okay, just one drink!” Grandma Zhao said.

“Okay! Then I’ll go in!” Su Jing’an said with a smile.

“Wait a minute. I washed some fruits. You can bring them in. There are also drinks and biscuits. Do you want some?” Li Su came out of the kitchen.

“Yes, yes!” Su Jing’an said hastily. If they didn’t eat them, then he would!

Su Jing’an opened the door holding fruit and biscuits and a bottle of drink. He put the food on the small table next to them. “Older sister, there are fruits, biscuits, and drinks. Do you want to eat anything?”

Over there, Su Jingwan and Luo Heng didn’t look up. They wrote calculations on the paper with ease.

Su Jing’an stood aside and looked at them for a few moments, then rolled his eyes. When he saw that Su Jingwan was busy with the calculations and had no time to talk to him, he quietly touched Su Jingwan’s cell phone and played the game lying on the carpet.

Su Jingwan and Luo Heng calculated the questions, and then put their answers together. Seeing that her answer was different from Luo Heng’s, Su Jingwan frowned slightly. She put their draft papers together and compared them step by step. “You added an extra decimal place here!”

Luo Heng went over to have a look, and said with a smile, “That’s really the case! I was careless. Your answer is correct!”

Su Jingwan smiled happily. Luo Heng looked at her smiling like a flower and stood there in shock.

Su Jingwan noticed this and felt a little uncomfortable. She looked elsewhere. At a glance, she saw Su Jing’an lying on the ground playing games.

Su Jingwan grabbed the draft paper and threw it at Su Jing’an’s head. “I called you here to study papers, not to play games. Give me back my phone!”

Su Jing’an was unmoved. He changed his posture. “Older sister, wait a minute. This will be over soon.”

Su Jingwan glared at him. “If you keep doing this, I’ll set a password on the phone later!”

Seeing this, Luo Heng asked, “Does your younger brother not have a cell phone?”

Su Jingwan nodded lightly. “Mm, he’s still young and doesn’t use a cell phone.”

Luo Heng smiled slightly. “Let’s continue with the papers? What do you think of making it a competition? The loser treats the winner to a movie. The latest Hollywood blockbuster is not bad. What do you think?”

He successfully diverted Su Jingwan’s attention and received a grateful look from Su Jing’an.

Su Jingwan smiled. “Okay, but, you mustn’t let me win on purpose!”

“I will sit on this side and you will sit on the other side so we won’t be able to see each other.” Luo Heng laughed.

The two sat at opposite ends of the table. Luo Heng took out his mobile phone and started to count the time. The two of them buried themselves in the paper.

Su Jing’an finished a game, looked up, saw the two people, and sighed. He didn’t understand. How could someone like doing papers so much? As for these two people, Grandma Zhao was still worried that their puppy love will affect their studies? Haha.

Su Jing’an slipped out again. Su Jingwan was completely immersed in the world of mathematics and didn’t react.

Luo Heng raised his head, looked in the direction of the door, then retracted his gaze. He looked at Su Jingwan opposite him and couldn’t help but stare blankly for a moment. It was said that serious women were the most beautiful. It was as expected.

He watched her for ten minutes. It wasn’t until Su Jing’an opened the door and came in that Luo Heng came back to his senses and quickly lowered his head to do his homework.

In the end, Luo Heng scored 7 points more than Su Jingwan, but his finishing time was 20 minutes later than Su Jingwan. Luo Heng took the initiative to admit defeat. “I lost, so let me invite you to the movie in the afternoon. I will buy tickets now.”

Then, without waiting for Su Jingwan to say anything, he took out his cell phone and bought the tickets neatly. “All right!”

Luo Heng handed the phone to Su Jingwan and Su Jing’an also came over. “You bought three tickets. Do I get one too?”

“Of course.” Luo Heng smiled.

Seeing this, Su Jingwan thought about it. If Jing’an went with them, no one would misunderstand her! “Okay. I’ll buy the snacks. You can’t refuse. Otherwise, I won’t go.”

Luo Heng nodded. “No problem. But, will auntie let you go?”

“If my older sister asks, our mother will definitely agree,” Su Jing’an said confidently. “My mother trusts my older sister the most.”

Luo Heng looked at Su Jingwan. Su Jingwan nodded, agreeing that it was true.

Sure enough, at lunch, Su Jingwan said that they were going to the movies in the afternoon. Li Su agreed without hesitation and took a few hundred yuan from her wallet to let them buy delicious food.

Of course Su Jingwan refused to take it. She resolutely returned the money. “No need. I have money!”

Su Jing’an wanted it, but Li Su wouldn’t give it to him. “Okay, if you run out of money, just tell mum!”

Before Su Jingwan could speak, Su Jing’an murmured, “Mum, if you were as generous to me as you are to older sister, that would be great!”

“Your older sister is a girl, so there are many places to spend money. You are a boy. Why should I give you so much money? Do you want to recharge in the game?” Li Su said while glancing at him.

Aunt Zhao’s favorite was Jing’an, whom she brought up. In her heart, Su Jing’an was almost like her own grandson. She couldn’t bear for Jing’an to be wronged, so she quickly comforted him. “Be good, Jing’an. If you don’t have enough money, I’ll give some to you later.”

Su Jing’an giggled and said, “Grandma Zhao, how can I ask for your money? When I grow up and earn money, I will make money for you to spend! Of course, there will be mother and older sister. Just wait!”

Grandma Zhao smiled from ear to ear. Okay. Jing’an is the best!”

Luo Heng looked at the blissful scene in front of him and saw Jingwan’s happy and tranquil smile. As long as Jingwan was happy, the rest was not important!
