Chapter 312 – My Daughter Is Likely A Green Tea (part 1)

After going through the apocalypse and returning to the 21st century, Li Su was full of gratitude. Even if the family she was transmigrating to was impoverished, at least she could rest in peace.

In the last few years, she never slept peacefully and was always vigilant. Even after settling down in Time Village, it was a habit.

Now, she could finally sleep peacefully. As for the future, she could talk about it after she had enough sleep!

Li Su slept for a long time until she felt that someone was pushing her. Li Su opened her eyes.

“Mum, I’m hungry.” It was a 5- or 6-year-old girl who woke her up. She was wearing a beautiful little dress. Her face was flushed and she was very close to Li Su.

Li Su felt a little complicated. This child was not born to the original owner, Jiang Wan, but was adopted. Jiang Wan and her husband, Su Nan couldn’t get pregnant for many years after they got married. The husband and wife had a good relationship and were unwilling to divorce. Later, they went to the orphanage to adopt a daughter. Their family of 3 lived happily.

Nobody expected that the good times would not last long. Su Nan suddenly fell ill and spent all the savings in the family, but he could not be saved.

Fortunately, Su Nan suffered from a sudden illness, so the house hadn’t been sold yet. Jiang Wan also had a job herself. Although life was a little harder, she could live on.

They didn’t expect that Jiang Wan would find out at this time that she was 4 months pregnant. A few days ago, since she was worrying about her husband’s illness, her period was a few months late. Jiang Wan didn’t notice it.

Jiang Wan and Su Nan both dreamed of having a child of their own. They didn’t expect that their dream would finally come true, but Su Nan was gone.

Jiang Wan was faced with a difficult choice. She was a woman who had to support herself and two children, which was easier said than done. Jiang Wan quickly made a decision. In fact, this decision was not difficult at all. Between her adopted daughter and her biological child, Jiang Wan chose the latter without hesitation.

She sent Su Jingwan back to the orphanage, then changed houses and started life again.

A few months later, Jiang Wan gave birth to a boy named Su Jian’an. Jiang Wan was ecstatic. She worked hard and raised her son with all her heart.

Eighteen years later, Su Jian’an had grown up. He was handsome, considerate, and sensible, and was Jiang Wan’s good son. Su Jian’an was admitted to university and Jiang Wan began to consider selling the old house and buying a new house for her son in the provincial capital. At that time, he would get married and have children in the provincial capital. He would have a family and a beautiful life.

Just when Jiang Wan was planning the future with hope, she suddenly received a bolt from the blue. Su Jian’an died on the way to work. Because of excessive fatigue, he was in a trance. When he was crossing the road, he couldn’t see clearly and was hit and killed by a speeding truck.

Jiang Wan fainted immediately. After waking up, she hurried to the provincial capital and saw Su Jian’an’s mutilated body in the morgue. Jiang Wan was heartbroken.

The driver who caused the accident was driving under the influence of alcohol and he took most of the responsibility. In addition to taking legal responsibility, he also paid Jiang Wan a large sum of money. But her son was gone. What was the use of having more money?

Jiang Wan’s heart was broken. She grew 20 years older overnight and finally returned to her hometown with her son’s ashes.

Jiang Wan always had a question in her heart. The police said that her son was hit by a car on the way to work because he was fatigued and in a trance. But she gave her son a lot of living expenses every month. Why did her son want to work? Was her son in love, or was he cheated?

Jiang Wan decided to solve this mystery. She went to the provincial capital again, found her son’s classmates and friends before his death, and asked them questions.

Jiang Wan learned that Su Jian’an was indeed in love before his death, but she had never seen his girlfriend. All she knew was that Su Jian’an liked that girl a lot and often bought her gifts. Therefore, the living expenses were not enough. As he understood his mother’s hard work to make money, he didn’t want to reach out to his mother to ask for money. Therefore, he went out to work.

It was said that the accident happened because the girl’s birthday was approaching. Su Jian’an wanted to buy a birthday present for the girl, but he didn’t have enough money. So, he worked a few more jobs. He was fatigued and in a trance. He didn’t pay attention to the road conditions and was hit by a car. .

The more Jiang Wan heard it, the more frightened her heart became. Her son was in love and had a girlfriend, but she, his mother, didn’t know anything about it. Jiang Wan instinctively felt that her son’s death seemed to be related to his mysterious girlfriend. She wanted to find this girlfriend and ask her what was going on.

At this time, Jiang Wan suddenly realised a fact: where was her son’s cell phone? Her son had already sold his computer and she couldn’t find it at this time. What about his cell phone? After the accident, her son’s mobile phone disappeared. At that time, she only cared about being sad, so she didn’t expect this.

Jiang Wan found the police officer who was in charge of dealing with her son’s car accident. After checking, she didn’t see the mobile phone at the scene of the car accident. Maybe someone picked it up, or maybe it was crushed in the car accident.

Jiang Wan wanted to go to the cell phone company to check her son’s call records, but her son’s phone number had long since stopped. It was now being used by another person.

Jiang Wan became more and more certain that her son’s death might not have been an accident, but a well-designed trap.

Jiang Wan wanted to report the case, but she had no evidence. The police only thought she was too sad and didn’t take her word for it.

Jiang Wan tried everything she could, but there was no way out. In the end, she could only return to her hometown in despair.

Suddenly one day, a young woman came to Jiang Wan’s house. Behind her was a handsome man who was carrying a large and small bag.

The young woman walked up to Jiang Wan and called softly, “Mum!”

Jiang Wan was shocked. She slowly raised her head, looked at the woman, and said with a trembling voice, “You, you, are you Jing… Jingwan?”

Su Jingwan smiled and gently held Jiang Wan’s hand. “Mum, it’s me. I’m Jingwan.”

Jiang Wan didn’t expect to see her adopted daughter again in eighteen years. She had mixed feelings. “How did you find this place?”

Su Jingwan avoided answering her and instead pointed to the man behind her. “Mum, this is my fiancé. We are getting married next month. I brought him to show you him. I will send you an invitation to attend our wedding.”

“Getting married? Good, good. Getting married is good.” Jiang Wan thought about the fact that her adopted daughter was about to get married, but her son died inexplicably. She felt a little uncomfortable.

“We were going to get married next year, but…” Su Jingwan lowered her head shyly, and put her hand on her belly. The man behind her gently wrapped an arm around her shoulders.

Jiang Wan understood that she was pregnant, so she got married early. Seeing the happy couple, Jiang Wan felt sour in her heart, but at least she had raised her for a few years. Now that Su Jingwan had come to find her after so many years, Su Jingwan could be considered as caring. After all, she had called herself a mother for a few years, and now that Su Jingwan was getting married, she couldn’t express herself as a mother at all.

Jiang Wan stood up. “Sit down first!” Then, she walked into the bedroom and took out a passbook.

“Take this. The password is ******. You can call me mum and this will be your dowry!” Jiang Wan handed the passbook to Su Jingwan.

Su Jingwan didn’t accept it. At this time, the man was no longer in the room. Su Jingwan smiled and said, “There’s no need. Although it was really hard before, but now, everything is fine. I have a rich husband who loves me and is willing to spend money for me. My in-laws are also good to me. Now I am pregnant and the preliminary examination says that I will have a boy. My in-laws were so happy that they transferred a villa, a yacht, and some stock funds to my name immediately. I will be very happy in the future. Keep the money. After all, your son is dead, right? You will be alone in the future. No one will take care of you. How pitiful! Don’t you think?”

Jiang Wan’s eyes widened in shock, and she asked with a trembling voice, “What do you mean by that?”

Su Jingwan looked out the window. Her fiancé had just got out of the car. He was holding a thermos cup in his hand and he came over.

Su Jingwan walked up to Jiang Wan. “Su Jian’an was really a very simple child. I only played some small tricks and he obeyed me. Guess how many sweet things he said to me? How much has he spent on me? It’s a pity. From the beginning to the end, I was just using him to take revenge on you for abandoning me back then. I never liked him at all!”

Jiang Wan suddenly heard the truth. She couldn’t stand the stimulation and trembled all over.

Su Jingwan was still irritating her with her words. “Su Jian’an was so obedient. I asked him to do whatever I want and he would. If I wanted something, he would save money and buy it for me. Unfortunately, I’m pregnant and I want to get married. Otherwise, I could have spent more time with him.”

Jiang Wan was so crazy that she rushed towards Su Jingwan. Su Jingwan pretended to be frightened. Her fiance arrived in time. When he saw that Su Jingwan was about to be pushed, he hugged her in his arms, and kicked Jiang Wan.

Jiang Wan lay on the ground panting.

While soothing Su Jingwan, who looked terrified, the man pointed at Jiang Wan and scolded her. “You are a vicious woman. You are too vicious. When you had your own child, you sent Jingwan back to the orphanage and caused her to suffer a lot. Jingwan is kind and generous and cares about you. She invited you to the wedding. She also told me that you lost your son. As you would have lived a miserable and dreary life in old age, she said that she would pick you up to come live with us in your old age. But how do you treat her? You are so vicious. You deserve to have your son die!”

Then, he lowered his head and said to Su Jingwan, “Jingwan, let’s go to the hospital. Don’t be so kind in the future. She deserves it all!” After speaking, he hugged Su Jingwan and walked out.

Jiang Wan was angry and anxious. Her body was powerless. She looked up and saw Su Jingwan turn back to give her a smug smile. Jiang Wan had a bad heart. After experiencing such a big situation, her eyes rolled and died of anger.

Su Jingwan clearly saw this, but she pretended not to. She closed the door gently.

Jiang Wan’s body was discovered a few days later. Because she had no other relatives, no one came forward to deal with the body. She did not officially terminate her adoption relationship with Su Jingwan, so in the end, Su Jingwan came forward to bury her as her adopted daughter. Of course, Su Jingwan also inherited all Jiang Wan’s estate as her adopted daughter. She inherited a house and Su Jian’an’s huge death compensation.

“Jingwan, you are just too kind.” Luo Heng put his arms around Su Jingwan’s waist and looked at the tombstone in front of him. “She treated you like that and you still do this for her.” She also changed the wedding date for this adoptive mother who was not good to her. His parents were very satisfied with Jingwan’s move and thought that she was a kind and filial person.

“She did raise me for a few years. I can’t be ungrateful.” Su Jingwan looked at the mother and son’s names on the tombstones. She smiled coldly, but her voice was very gentle.

“You!” Luo Heng smiled dotingly. “Fortunately you met me, otherwise what would you do?” She was such a kind and innocent person. If he didn’t protect her by himself, she would be taken advantage of.

Su Jingwan didn’t speak. She just leaned gently against Luo Heng’s chest. “A-Heng, I am so fortunate to have you.”

Luo Heng smiled slightly. “It’s time for us to go back. Mum and dad are still waiting for us!”

“Okay!” Su Jingwan smiled sweetly, and the two left the cemetery.

Under the setting sun, the photos of Jiang Wan and Su Jian’an on the tombstone slowly became blurred under the sunlight.
