Chapter 298 – Raising A Child In An Apocalypse (part 7) 

After a while, the scent of chicken soup filled the air. Jiang Xiaoya smelled the food and immediately revived. She threw away the potato chips in her hand in disgust. Seeing this, Wang Yao followed her and threw away the snack bag. The two of them sat up and got off the bed.  

Jiang Fang quickly stopped her. “It’s not finished yet. You can eat it when it’s finished. You need to rest now…” 

Suddenly there was a slamming sound outside the door. Jiang Fang’s expression changed. “You and Yaoyao stay in the room. Don’t come out. I’ll go and see!”  

Over there, Li Su also came out of the kitchen when she heard the sound. She guessed that those people smelled the aroma of chicken soup. Because there was no electricity, the range hood could not be turned on, and the nose of an ability user was very sensitive. 

Jiang Fang glanced at her. “It’s okay, older sister Li, I’ll handle it.”

“My mother is the best!” Wang Yao said softly. 

Jiang Xiaoya pinched her little face. “Okay, you win!” Then, she turned to Jiang Fang and said, “In my mind, A-Fang will always be the best!” 

Jiang Fang smiled. “Okay, I’ll take a shower.” 

When Jiang Fang was finished, the food was ready. “Come over and eat! Today’s chicken soup was made in a pressure cooker. It’s quicker, but the taste may not be very good.” Li Su first served Jiang Xiaoya a bowl of chicken soup and was just about to add chicken legs. 

Jiang Fang shook his head and said, “Give Yaoyao the chicken legs. Xiaoya doesn’t like chicken legs. She likes chicken wings.” 

“It’s so delicious! How can there be such a delicious chicken soup?! It is much better than the chicken soup made in a five-star hotel!” Jiang Xiaoya said excitedly after taking a sip of the chicken soup.  

Li Su gave Wang Yao another bowl of chicken soup. Wang Yao took a sip and her eyes lit up. “It’s delicious, mum. Drink some!” 

Li Su saw that their reaction did not seem to be fake. It was a little strange. The chicken soup made by the pressure cooker was a little worse than the normal chicken soup that had been boiled for several hours. She took a sip. It was delicious! 

Li Su looked at Jiang Fang a little evasively. She knew that Jiang Fang also had a space.

After she was done, Li Su went back to her room to sleep. When the alarm clock rang at night, she got up and changed with Jiang Fang. She held the Tang knife and sat on the sofa to keep watch. 

Jiang Fang and company stayed there for a week. During this period, zombies and mutant beasts smelled blood and tried to attack them, but they were all repelled by Jiang Fang and Li Su. Out of those who followed them, half were impatient, and half were frightened by the waves of zombies and mutant beasts, so they almost ran away.  

Jiang Xiaoya often wailed. “Once a month is terrifying!” 

Jiang Fang smiled and comforted her. What was she afraid of? It was just a few zombies and mutant beasts. It wasn’t like he couldn’t protect her! 

Li Su was fortunate that the original owner’s period was abnormal. It only came once every six months or a year, and for only three days at a time. Wang Dahai was relieved, but Mrs. Wang scolded her a lot. However, she was reluctant to give her daughter-in-law money to go to the hospital.  

However, during an apocalypse, this turned out to be quite lucky. 

A few people set off again, and it didn’t take long for them to encounter a wave of zombies. Jiang Xiaoya felt aggrieved for a long time, and immediately launched an offensive. Jiang Xiaoya smiled. “Older sister, it’s great to have you here! I’m so happy!”  

Jiang Fang felt a little uncomfortable. He also had these things in his space. He had the freshest and pure natural fruit. Whatever she wanted to eat, he had! He just didn’t have time. 

Li Su smiled. “Okay, stop praising me. If you praise me again, Jiang Fang will be jealous!”  

Jiang Xiaoya put her head on Jiang Fang’s shoulder with a smile. “A-Fang won’t. He knows me best and I only have A-Fang in my heart!”

Jiang Fang and Jiang Xiaoya also laughed. At this time, Jiang Xiaoya saw in the rearview mirror that several more cars were following them. She leaned against the car window and looked back. Li Su sat in the back, an arm around Wang Yao. She had a smile on her lips. She looked at the loving daily life of the young couple in front of her. She then turned her head to look at those cars. It seemed that they were not the same as the previous ones. Who could they be?
